Photography

Photography comes from the Greek: phōs meaning “light” and graphē meaning “writing” or “drawing”.

Etymologically, it translates to “writing with light,” describing the act of capturing a moment, subject, or idea through the control of light, composition, and perspective. It sits between observation and creation, documenting what is there, while shaping how it is seen.
