During the class, you will learn how to prepare clay slabs, shape them into your desired form that are both functional and creative to create your own plate. This course is ideal for anyone wanting to discover slab technical foundation and the basics of clay forms.

Included:

• Clay and materials for 1-2 pieces with glaze and firing

• Use of wheel, tools, and equipment

• Selection of glaze

At the end of the session, you’ll have your own handmade plates, which we will carefully dry, glaze with a transparent finish, and kiln-fire in our studio. Your finished piece will be ready for collection in approximately 4–5 weeks. If you’d like to personalize your piece further, you can book an additional glazing session to choose and apply your own color finish.
