Perfect for those interested in creating precise, architectural, or functional ceramic pieces, this class provides you to the essential techniques of vase construction. During the workshop, you will learn how to prepare clay slabs, connect them accurately, and build up forms that are both functional and sculptural. Special attention is given to design, controlled drying, and preventing common stress cracks, ensuring your creations are structurally strong. This course is ideal for anyone wanting to develop further their technical foundation for working independently with clay.
Whether you plan to continue with our membership in the studio or pursue more advanced ceramics, this workshop equips you with the skills to confidently bring your own designs to life.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have one piece, which we will carefully dry, glaze with a transparent finish, and kiln-fire in our studio. Your finished ceramic will be ready for collection in approximately 4–5 weeks.
