Shape something both beautiful and functional in this hands-on pottery workshop at Torro Studio in Zurich. Designed for beginners and curious creatives alike, this session introduces you to the fundamentals of hand building while guiding you through the creation of your very own coaster set. During the class, you’ll learn how to work with clay using intuitive hand-building techniques, shaping and refining your piece with a focus on form, balance, and surface.
Whether you’re drawn to organic, sculptural aesthetics or clean, minimal designs, you’ll be supported in bringing your personal vision to life. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to explore ceramics in a relaxed, creative setting while making a piece you’ll actually use at home.
It’s also a great introduction before diving deeper into our studio membership or more advanced classes.
At the end of the session, you’ll have your own handmade coasters, which we will carefully dry, glaze with a transparent finish, and kiln-fire in our studio. Your finished pieces will be ready for collection in approximately 4–5 weeks. If you’d like to personalize your pieces further, you can book an additional glazing session to choose and apply your own color finish.
Included:
- Clay and materials for 4 coasters
- Tools and equipment
- Transparent glaze and firing
Participants: Maximum 6 participants.
We believe in the power of small groups to learn and enjoy your class.
Course runs with a minimum of 2 participants.
