Create the perfect dog bowl thanks to the art of handbuilding with clay in this beginner-friendly coiling workshop at Torro Studio in Zurich. This class focuses on creating unique ceramic dog bowls using the traditional coiling technique, perfect for those who enjoy a more tactile and expressive approach to pottery. During the session, you will learn how to roll, shape, and stack coils to build your own dog bowl from scratch. You’ll be guided through the full process, including forming balanced shapes, sizes to fit your dog, and designing the inside of your bowl refining. Special attention is given to structure, design, and proper drying to ensure your pieces are both functional and durable.
No prior experience needed.
Whether you plan to continue with our membership in the studio or pursue more advanced ceramics, this workshop equips you with the skills to confidently bring your own designs to life for your furry friends.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll have one piece, which we will carefully dry, glaze with a transparent finish, and kiln-fire in our studio. Your finished ceramic will be ready for collection in approximately 4–5 weeks.
