In this painting class, you’ll learn step by step how to build a human face while exploring the balance between observation and imagination. Our teacher will guide you through the core principles of portrait painting, proportions, placement of facial features, and simple structural lines, to create a recognizable face. Along the way, you’ll also be encouraged to improvise in selected areas, using freer movements and intuitive marks to move beyond strict realism. The session focuses on combining intention and spontaneity: understanding the structure of a portrait while allowing space for personal expression and experimentation.
By the end of the class, you’ll bring home a unique portrait that blends realistic elements with abstract touches, a face shaped by both reality and imagination.
This class is suitable for people with small knowledge of drawing or anyone interested in portraiture and developing confidence in their painting process.
